Suprise Birthday @ Indian Restaurant

It was a surprise birthday for Leanne and we thought it was wedding anniversary! We were invited to Indian Restaurant for a buffet dinner! And it was so yummy! I like the deco too, very cosy feeling. But becos its indian food, its quite difficult to eat as much as I used to. Haha..

Anyway we did surprise the birthday girl! haha.. but we were too full to eat the birthday cake.. !

Officially with a License

I took my second part of the driving theory test today... and I PASSED!!!

I'm so happy! I hope the photo will turn out ok? ahha.. I should get my license in 10 days time!

Now I can finally drive my family around when they come to Perth next year!

Thank God! Everything is falling into place now! I can't wait to drive on my own hahaha.. I don't have to rely on Fred anymore!!

Shooting Star on X'mas

I just want to say that I saw a shooting star again. But it felt special cos its X'mas. And the star wasn't going really fast which was really cool!

Anyway I made a wish 3 secs after it disappeared. Will my wish still come true?

X'mas in Perth

I love X'mas in Australia! I love the holidays! Because we get two public holidays; X'mas and Boxing day :)

Today is X'mas Eve. And I get a free half day off work! Fred and I headed to Emma's to have Dim Sum. Emma's is located along Albany Highway. It is one of the chinese restaurant that serves food with little msg. I can tell because we don't get thirsty after the meal.

Well, though we are getting more days off, Fred and I still working our arses off. We gonna concentrate on our renos. Ok, Fred works harder than me :P

Alright, I've got nothing else to say anymore. It's gonna be boring stuff anyway. Maybe I will try and upload more pictures after X'mas and New Year's.

Carolings

To me, carolings was singing at someone's place.

This year, carolings was in church. It was a concert type for about 2 hours. There were choirs, adults singing, children singing, there was a lil stage sketch going on. Of course we had lotsa food at the end.

I took some pictures but too lazy to post. Bahh... I'm very tired you know... Zzzz

Fuji Station

Fuji Station - This is a Japanese restaurant near the Victoria Park bus station and in Albany Hwy. That's where we had dinner last night.

The restaurant is always so crowded. You MUST make a booking before going!!

One of Fred's fav entree is Beef Yukke. It is tiny strips of raw beef, marinated in sesame oil, pine nuts and top it off with a raw egg yolk. It sounds alittle gross, but it is a MUST try. The thought of it makes me drool.

I love the Udon noodles there. It's not like those big fat noodles you usually have. It is flat wheat noodles. The texture is so good. I had the Cold Udon last night. But there is this chicken + seafood spicy soup Udon noodles that its served in a pot which is also a MUST try.

Who can miss out sashimi when going to a Jap restaurant? The sashimi are sliced thick and fresh! And accordingly to my friend, the sashimi are even more generous on Tuesday with apprentice at work.

I should have taken some pictures but we were too busy eating! Earliest availability was at 8pm, we were so hungry we could eat a cow!

Tonight my parents and grandpa going to KL to deliver the wedding invitation cards and will be back after X'mas. And I wonder where is my sister, cos I thought she went to London but my mum said it was India. So confusing!

Hmm, what am I gonna do over X'mas? I will be working on X'mas eve as usual! Good thing is my boss says I could leave at lunch!! Rules set by him.

Tomorrow there will be carolings in Church. There will be singing and food! Hmm... yum yum.. sigh why am I always thinking about food!

Finally, Some Good News

I received an email today that they have extended my contract for another 3 months. Well, I'm happy that it has been extended but 3 months? Sigh, I have to worry about it again after that? I'm not begging for a job really.

Well, I should really look on the bright side becos this means that I only have to take less unpaid leave. Also, for the next 3 months, there are quite a few public holidays!! Woo hoo! Good Friday is in March again!!! It's like not working at all lol.

I'm gonna keep applying for other jobs. If I get it, stuff them! Too bad! I'm too good! Ahhahah..
On the other hand, I really hate to do the selection criteria. It's a real pain!

12 Hours Sleep

Now, when was the last time I slept for 12 hours?

Last night we were so tired. And we had a list of things to do. Instead we went to bed at 8:30am and woke up 12 hours later.

It felt really good but on another hand, I felt like I wasted my time sleeping. I could have

1) done my laundry
2) finish off my invitation cards
3) help with the house reno

All well. I can't do those today because it's my father in law's birthday. And I've a feeling we gonna have lobsters!!! Woo ... I'm not a fan anyway. I prefer crabs!

I just read Lindy's blog. POor thing, gonna be alone for X'mas. Sigh, I wish I'm in Singapore now.

What the?

I was so pissed at work yesterday. Sometimes I just hate my boss. I tried not to but its so hard.

His mood is just up and down.
He tells me this and another later.
He speaks to me when I'm on the phone with a client.
He makes a big fuss over nothing.
He accuses me of something he did.
He denies things he did and said it never happened.
He doesn't explain things properly, i.e. he beats around the bush and then expects me to understand the shiz he's saying.
He drives me insane and sometimes I wish my contract expires NOW!

Honestly, why does people make it so hard to get along with each other? It's such a simple thing to do. If you can't manage people, don't be a manager. I'm still so pissed. That's why I came to work earlier today so that I can leave earlier.

Something that I didn't blog on last week.

On Friday night, there were meteor showers at about 11pm. So Fred and I drove up the hill to check it out. I didn't see the showers but I saw one shooting star, one after another. It was amazing. But it wasn't shooting many at the same time so I had to keep my eyes open in order not to miss any. It was tiring but worth it! I saw one travelling, as in it didn't shoot really fast. They were bright.

No I didn't make any wishes because I was too slow.

There will be another major one in January 08. Not sure if I will be able to go cos my parents will be here. Maybe I should bring them hehe..

Reno

This picture may mean nothing to you but definitely means alot to both Fred and myself. This is the last piece of gyprock for the second room. The ceiling is 3 m high. It was a small piece so he managed to carry it himself. But the ones next to it are 3m width. So imagine carrying up with two ladders, it was pretty hardcore!

This is alittle random. I think we went out for a drive after working on the house.

Back to reno again, we started doing the joining of the walls. The feeling of seeing it progress is just so good. Oh we also took out the carpet and left the glue on the timber.

Sick again!

You know, since we didn't have a bathroom in the house, we had to use the one in the granny flat. So if it rains, we had to run round the house to go toilet.

It rained last night. It wasn't supposed to rain. It is SUMMER. Anyway the night before, I must have got caught in the rain. My body felt like crap in the morning. My throat hurts, body aches, and I felt so dizzy.

Too much parties and too much on my plate. Last night we were at Pam's 60th. I saw all our colleagues dancing and it was really funny. I'm just not in the mood to upload the pictures.

Ironically, I had red rooster for lunch and I felt so much better. And you know what, I ate so much for dinner and still hungry. We shared a kebah, pide and I almost had the turkish bread all by myself and a strawberry milkshake from Maccas. Something is wrong with my tummy.

Happy Meals

Did I mention this restaurant Happy Meals which is super close to our place along Albany Hwy? We went there for lunch and it was so good and cheap. I'm so happy that this place is so close, which means when my family comes over, they will still have chinese food. Everything is good there, so can just order anything :P

Talking about my family, we bought a stove today to accomodate to more people in the house next month. We needed it anyway, and yes, finally we have an oven!! The last time we cleaned the old one for hours and in the end, it smelled like JIF and we never used it! arghh.. Can't wait for my $2600 stove to arrive next week!

Too Busy to Fall Sick

On Friday I woke up with a migraine. I just read Lindy's blog, she also had one in Bombay. Anyway I felt like crap, and took the day off work. And I missed the work X'mas lunch, sigh, $8 wasted. Ah well, don't really feel like seeing those people anyway. I wonder how long I'm gonna stay in this job for anyway. No point networking.

Luckily migraine left quickly, I love my panadol rapid. Fred stayed home to look after me, so it was good. We went to Emma's to have DimSum! So yummy! After which I headed to Stampit to get my papers for the invitation cards. Yes, I'm not done yet. Still got a few more to go! Arghh..!!

We got back and brought the chippy some lunch. He did a pretty good job on the walls! Yes, walls are finally up!! So happy! And the doors are up too!! I really can't wait! I have heaps of photos to upload. Just that we're way to busy at the moment.

Anyway, we headed to Ikea to get our cabinets for the laundry. So damn expensive! How much? Don't ask. Well, everything is falling into place, just spending too much money.

Oh evening I cooked this mushroom chicken dish. It was so yummy but it stinks the house. I put in dried scallops and dried shrimps and yam!! woo yummy.

I hate it when HE IS DRUNK

Totally wasted the evening last night. We could've continue the reno after dinner. Stupid Fred was too tired and drunk to do anything! So angrEEEEEEEEE

My Job

Sigh. Today I went back to office after 1.5 days of training at HQ.

I read an email about my job status and simply made my day so crappy.

I know there will be so many other jobs out there for me but I hate changing jobs. I hate the fact that I have to adapt to new environment. And so far, I'm just getting the hang of the current work. I am just having a taste how insecure contract work is.

I am just gonna pray hard that they will extend my contract. So far no news on my interview for permanent position. I won't be surprised if there were no interviews anyway. There must be heaps of applicants how there who have been waiting for years. Ah well.

My darling Fred said not to worry if there's no job. Just sit at home and relax! I think I will be bored to death, unless I'm making babies hehe.

Anyway, today we had Wok in a Box. And I'm sorry to offend the founder, the people who loves the food there, but it was absolute crap. This was our second time, really all becos we had vouchers. First time was crap, and we thought, maybe we ordered the wrong food. But no, I'm sorry, no more crap in a box for me. The mee goreng that we ordered was curry sauce? And the Pud Thai (sorry I have to laugh, I don't think it should be spelt as PUD), was sweet sauce? It was just so terrible. They had peanuts on both dishes. It was so terrible that we felt so depressed after eating it. I tried to feed it to the seagull, even they rejected it. Apparently, the founder of this franchise travels to SEA (South East Asia) and love the spices etc. I must ask "WHICH PART OF SEA DID YOU VISITED?", "WHERE IN THE WORLD DID THEY PUT IN CURRY SAUCE WITH PEANUTS INTO MEE GORENG?"

As I am writing this post, the thought of my dinner, I simply wanted to throw up. What are those people going into the restaurant thinking? Yes, the place is usually crowded. I must open a store too! I can easily cook better than them! Ok, I shouldn't have say that, my cooking is average. Don't tell anyone. Hehe

Health Topic

Ok, I titled this post as Health Topic. I didn't want to say Period or Red or anything, just in case I gross out some readers (that's if anyone actually reads my blog).

Not sure if I mentioned this. We are going Maldives for our honeymoon! Sounds exciting right? And there will be alot of water activities. Unfortunately, my period (whispering) is gonna fall on the week I'm leaving.

So I went to see a doctor for help without knowing they can do. My doctor (happens to be asian), gave me this prescription that I can delay my period!! I'm so happy!! BUT, if I take it, I might have acnes. So she recommended me to go on contraceptive pills (which I never will do it), which will delay period, no acnes BUT might feel bloated. And I have to take the pills just before my wedding!! What a great coincident!

Anyway, with must advice from friends, I decided to try out the medication to delay my period. I just started today. I hope there will be no acne. If so, at least I can stop in January. So far, I feel ok.

Anyone who reads my blog, please send me some of your experience if you know anything about such medication (I'm taking provera).

Guestlists

So far, we've found no difficulty planning our wedding. Everything has been fairly smooth except the guestlists. I'm simply going mad!

It was easy to list the people we wanted to invited. Then it came down to groups of people whom we went "oh why should we invite them? we haven't seen them for ages. If we invite this couple to the lunch reception, how about dinner?" blah blah blah.

Anyway, I'm going mad. And I can finally feel the anxiousness towards the actual day!

Treasure Duck

It consists of a duck (roasted I think), lotus seeds, chestnuts, mushrooms, chicken, chinese sausages, dried oysters, dried scallops, dried shrimps and alot of oyster sauce.

Well, this was the version we had last night at Fred's grandma birthday. It was served on a huge plate and it nearly took out 3/4 of the 'turning' table. And it was so yummy!!

Thinking Ahead - For my future babies

Yes, babies. I want 4 babies.

And becos I talked about 4 babies all the time, I think it should happen.

I'm 26 this year. I hope to get pregnant before 27. So I have 10 months left? 2 kids before 30, and 2 kids after :P

I think about where they gonna sleep in the house. I've got 3 rooms and one granny flat. The eldest one get to sleep outside after 16 years old, its an ensuite more.

I think about how to fit them in a car. I think I might get a van or a MPV (I think that is 7 seater).

I think about taking them on road trips, which I'm hoping to go round Australia in a caravan with my Freddy.

I'm thinking not to be too rich, incase they fight over my assets.

I think about if I should continue to work, or just go part time.

I'm thinking I must be so bored at work. I'm thinking so randomly.

I feel Terrible
