I don't think they looked much different from day 1. I think the weather was too cold for the past couple of days. They usually need at least 35-36 degrees warm from the parents (by sitting down on them).I felt pretty bad. I was so eager to check out on the baby doves I shooed the parent away earlier. And it was lost and went flying around the ceiling and apparently hit the wall :(
Anyway I found out that if they successfully keep the babies alive, they will come by to the same nest again and again. Doves are pretty bad at building nest. That's why even if you leave an empty pot plant outside, they'd built a mini nest there.

Updates on Reno
This is the granny flat. Hubby's parents were helping us to lay out the flooring. They are experts! They did the whole house for his brother!! Toilet in grannyflat. We couldn't be bothered the brick wall, so we left it that colour. The accessories from IKEA. Well, at least it is neat and clean now. Before we really terrible, spider webs, cockroaches, flies, worms and etc..
Before removal of abestos
After removal of abestos!! Yay!! I know it looks like someone wack it but it should look really good in 2-3 weeks time :)

You'd received good things after suffering and waiting
Sigh, I don't know what to say. I pushed hubby so hard for the reno. And now I find it so hard to cope.
Why do I say that?
Now we have to go to the bathroom in grannyflat which means toilet also in there. And the flat is out of the house. SO I WOKE UP AT 4AM WALKING AROUND THE BACK TO GO TOILET!!!! It was so cold!!! Stupid weather! Honestly, it is already mid spring. Day light saving has already started. C'mon, where is the warm weather? I cannot stop complaining. Now the kitchen sink is the new bathroom vanity b'cos we have to brush our teeth and wash our faces there. Arghh, it's so inconvenient!
Today the abestos experts are here. We were so scared that we don't even dare to get out of the house. Until the guy came to talk to Fred around the front door, we realised they haven't really started. Hopefully they finished when we get home. I do not want to have cancer over this. It is really scared. Because once they take the abestos wall down, the fibre is the killer. It is so small that you cannot even see with your bare eyes.
Can't wait for all the be finished!

Daylight saving
I love daylight saving. But I hate the fact that it starts on Sunday. I think it should be on Saturday so that we can adjust to the change alittle better. Because that means we have to wake up an hour earlier.
And this morning, everything just didn't turn out well for me. I was supposed to apply for this job which I totally forgotten because we were so busy with the house reno. And my remote access for work didn't work this morning due to power failure! So I couldn't access to the job ad and everything else. More bad things continued after. There was a meeting at 10am. For some reasons my calendar indicated 11am. So I was late and left office at 10am!!! And the meeting only lasted half hour, which means I was there for 15 mins only. Waste time loh!!
Anyway, I really dragged myself to work today. I wished I was at home working on the house with Fred. He took time off work because Uncle Clive is coming to fix the basin for us in the granny flat. I think everything is working out well, hopefully the flooring gets down today. Who knows, we might be sleeping out in the granny flat.
By the way, Blogger updates the daylight saving too. Pretty cool uh.

Wedding Dash
I woke up at about 1pm or 2pm? Daylight saving started and hubby changed the time. But he left the clock next to me unchanged and the bathroom. So I was alittle confused.

Busy Busy
I am so tired. We have been doing renovation every single day this week. But yea, it is getting there.
Today the weather is just crazy and we've got so much planned. Fred woke up really early to pick up the gyprock from Bunnings. Bunnings is just awesome. He borrowed the trailer for FREE and brought the gyprock home. At subiaco restoration, it wasn't so simple. We picked up our skirtings which was about 5m long. Obviously it couldn't fit into the car. So this is what happened: And Fred had to hold it up with his back like a coolie. lol
I will update more pictures once these are all installed. Now we are going to a bbq! And I'm hungry!

It's Friday!
Do you thank God that it's Friday? Haha.. lame :
Today I decided to work from home. Heaps to do for house reno. As mentioned, abestos guy coming next week. That means we will not have bathroom and laundry to use. I have to move everything out. But we do have a bathroom in grannyflat which is not too bad. Just that it is not really ready for use. So we went to Ikea to buy a few things:
The items above are really cheap. There are under $10!! I also bought a rug ($2.95!!, use and throw 100 times also can haha)
We also bought a basin at $99! It's really cheap. Most of the basins we saw were at the high $100 mark.
Anyway I'm really happy today. I wish I can work from home everyday. It is so much more flexible. I do not have a demanding job and boss is flexi too.
Can't wait to work on the granny flat later on!!!
Oh today is a rather wet day. Report said might have hails. I'm so excited lol.. give me the hails but don't damage the house!
Another thing happened today. On the way to Ikea, we nearly got accident. Alittle scary. The guy was coming out from the Ikea and for some reason he didn't look onto his right (which is where we were coming straight from). Luckily Fred swerved really fast, if not it would have been ugly! Especially it was on my side. The funny thing was we heard the cars collide alittle, and we thought the car would have been scratched. But NO!! No marks at all!! Well, at least we are safe :)
And then, after 5 seconds we took off, this lady didn't give way to us and drove past us to Ikea. She even screamed at us!!
Well, even after two bads we still managed to get what we wanted.
Fred is out again to get his car mirror and fix his car. Got slammed with yellow sticker for 3 months!
Alright, enough blogging! See ya

Everyone is eating Salmon
Seems like most people around me are eating salmon!
Since moving to Perth, I don't really buy fish.
Why?
- I don't know what type of fish is good for steaming, grilling, baking etc
- I suck at cooking them. Especially pan frying. Usually they sell fillets, so it is really difficult to handle them on pans.
- FISH is expensive here! VERY VERY EXPENSIVE
Well, for health reasons, I decided to buy salmon. It is also easier to consume. I mean, they don't taste so fishy. I bought two huge slices at $17! Expensive right?? Ah well, must be rich to eat fish in Australia.
Ingredients:
Salmon
Salt and pepper
Lemon juice
Butter
Method: Just heat the pan and add butter. I sprinkle salt onto the salmon before placing them on the pan. I will cook it on one side for about 4 mins and pour lemon juice on it. After which, turn them over for about 45 secs and pour lemon juice on it.Turn the stove off and close it with a lid. It will cook by itself for another 1.5 min. Try not to overcook salmon because it will be too dry.
Serve it with mash potatoes and hollandaise sauce. I was alittle lazy so I used instant mashies and sauce and they tasted so great!

Sleeping Problem
Seems like everyone is having sleeping problems! Not really maybe just my sista and me.
Well, I usually have sleeping problems before my period comes (I'm always talking about period). I would feel really tired but unable to sleep. I would wake up at 3am thinking that it is time for work! Sounds scary but it felt like I'd slept for hours.
My sista is a stewardess, so she does shift work which can be very stressing. I don't think she is missing sleep, just that she finds it hard to sleep before a morning flight.
Here are some of my findings and maybe it might help:
- Alcohol: I tried a couple of shots of volka, sometimes a glass of red wine. It works but alittle dehyrating.
- Carbs: Eat alot of food with high carbs. Rice, pasta, meat, more rice and etc.
- Warm milk: Apparently it works, that's why you always give your kids warm milk before they sleep
- Aromatherapy: I haven't tried this but I know lavender oil is popular for calming one down.
- Horlicks: Ok I found this in wikipedia.
- Milo: Well, it works for me but do not use condensed milk. Use fresh milk
- Exercise: Exercise is good but it will actually make you feel more energetic. So if you cannot sleep, please do not work out! I heard this from a boxing instructor.
- Read: I think it is a calming activity. I think preferably no magazines. It might get you excited especially all the shopping stuff.

Back to Office and ALL ALONE!
As usual, this week I find it so hard to get out of bed. I think because my period is coming very soon. I hate this feeling!
Anyway, at least today my boss was not around. He took two days off to get his aircon fixed. My ears are free today!! Woo hoo!
I'm so hungry now. Well I usually eat breakfast, if not I might faint. But today I couldn't be bothered to prepare. I woke up at 8:30, and got out of the house at 8:43am. As you can imagine, I didn't comb my hair, forgot my daily dose of SKII Facial Treatment Essence, and no make up and not even sunscreen!!! What is wrong with me?
I really need to kick my own arse and do some work. I have got to do my wedding invitation cards soon!! Wendy please don't be lazy!!! *slap slap*
Back to my hunger, I'm thinking of food now. I really feel like meepok dry! Luckily I found a place that has similar noodles (compared to the Singapore ones). I'm craving for it loh.

Out of office
Today I had training. Actually it was induction. I had to attend three all together but I missed out the final one too many times. Oops! Anyway, it was good to get out of office.
But the induction was so boring! Everyone was so boring. This other guy kept talking about his baby and kept asking questions! Two other ladies from Bunbury were complaining non stop. Two other girls, around my age I think, were pretty rude. They kept typing and typing while the speaker was talking. The lady sitting next to me kept talking to herself. She was panicking through out the sessions with the computer.
Evening, one of my ex colleague who works in cabinet business now came over to give us a kitchen quote. Honestly I'm so over such things. I know it is going to cost. So far I think we got like 6 quotes! I wonder when the kitchen reno will start!
Hubby says that abestos guy coming next week. I'm abit scared about the removal! What if I happened to breathe in the fibre when they are removing it? I better get meself a spacesuit.

NEWS!
On our way back home, we saw smoke going up the sky. It doesn't look very far, infact looks very close to our home. Anyway, we got home, jumped into the car, got our camera and started chasing the smoke. It was black smoke.
We found out it was just metres from our church at Milford street East Victoria Park. Same suburb as ours. It was aircon factory. Fred took heaps of photos. Here are some of them:

More photos can be found here.

Monday Blues
Why is my day sooo blue?
Bad things kept coming to me over and over again. I would love to share but it hurts to write.
Over the years, your personality changes together with what you see and experience. Somehow, it changes the way you think. Am I losing it or what? I find that I can't seem to comprehend what others are saying and I can't seem to communicate with anyone anymore!
Sigh
If only I can read your mind, seriously, it is getting harder to get along.
Or maybe it is PMS? Is there any medication for me? My hormones turn angry before my period is here! WHYYYY?

Sea-Monkeys
My first sea-monkey pets were when I was 17? I didn't really know how to take care of it. I either feed too much or too little. I placed them too close to the window. Finally all died. For some reasons, I remembered after 3 months, a couple of them resurrected. Yes if you must ask, I didn't even bother to clean the mini tank for months! AHAHA
Anyway, I promise I will take care of them properly this time.

Face Detection?
Recently I bought a new camera, Fujifilm, F50fd.

This camera includes face detection. So I took a picture on the laptop screen and so it happens that Nichole and Keith Urban were on the site.

SEX PO
We went to Sexpo exhibition with a group of friends earlier. Sexpo usually holds exhibition once a year but we've never been. Anyway, NOTHING FANTASTIC.
There were many many sex toys, sex magazines, sex gifts, sex show bags and etc. And there were also some extraordinary stalls there which I think they were alittle irrelevant. A couple of chinese stalls for massage therapy. And most of them were men. We took the $6 6 seconds "sex" ghost train, and we didn't see any ghosts, but mannequins doing kinky stuff.
Well, we cannot leave the place empty handed. So this is what I bought. There were a rainbow of coloured handcuffs. I thought there were pretty cute. Not that I will use it, too small for hubby's wrists anyway ahha. I might just chain it around a bag as an accessory.

See what I've found
A couple of days ago, I found a nest in my front yard. The nest was built on top of the pillar. My place is those weatherboard, heritage looking type. Anyway, I used a ladder to check it out (yes I scared the dove away). There was only one egg.And today, guess what I found?
Pardon me for the rice. I was trying to feed the mother dove. I see her so poor thing taking care of the eggs. Yes the dove flew away when I attempted to feed it. I almost fell off the ladder.
I cannot wait for them to hatch!!! So cute!!
I just did some research and it is absolutely amazing. When a pair of doves mate, the female one will lay the first egg after 10 days (pretty quick I say). After 24 hours usually, it will lay the second one. It takes about 15 days for the eggs to hatch. What really amazes me is that the couple takes turn to incubate the egg. They got shifts one!!! Male one in the day, female at night! How weird is that? Also I read that if a dove starves for 24 hours, it will die.
Now I know all these, I shouldn't be feeding it with rice. They take turn to find food!!! How stupid am I.
Can't wait to take more pictures when it hatches! It should be end of October. Stay tune for more pictures!

My bill
I am fuming mad! With my bigpond bills!!!
I used to work for Telstra ( am i going to get sue? bah who cares) as a sales consultant. Every 5 broadband you sell, you can your internet free for the month. Of course your internet must be with them. I left the sh%$ place in June! I was the happiest person alive that very day. So what am I angry about? They have not cleared my bill since I left. I know it is only $149! But still! Yea who still pays $149 for internet.
I feel like a mad woman chasing up everyone I know in the company. It is madness!!! The manager who used to manage these stuff was made redundant! And no one told me until I asked! Very sneeky!! Since 2nd Oct, the new person has not replied my email!
So, they have promised that the account will not be cancelled but I don't really care. Why I want the account cleared is because I WANT TO BLOODY CLOSE THE ACCOUNT! I'm going to join II NET! Unfortunately the lines or slots (whatever you call it) is super limited. And when the particular line is spared, I must apply it asap. Bugger, we missed out so many times!
I emailed the billing department and thought they can help me out. And this is what they tell me:
I know the text is very small, that's because you don't want to read it anyway. They were just not helpful at all.
Eh you know what? I think I am going to lodge formal complaint to someone. I don't know who.. maybe the HR department. Maybe I write to Sol T. Maybe.. I... (*evils*)

Trying to keep it cool
My boss is driving me nuts! He is not able to construct a proper sentence. Which means he just explains instructions in broken sentence that can be super misleading! Arghh.. driving me nuts! I never really believe in generation gap. I think it is how the person is brought up. But my boss and I, there is a huge gap there! When something happens, or if I casually asked him a question, he would just tell me this long story about philosophy. I mean, I don't really care. Just to respect him, I always tried to look interested, and make sure there is eye contact. Now it is just getting on my nerves!
I really shouldn't be complaining should I? Considering I've the best job.
Wendy, please be thankful. Be more positive, appreciate your life, and remember to thank God for everything.

Ta Dah
My dear sista has added the new tag for me. Thanks! But seriously, who is going to have a conversation with me on there?
Technology has really changed the world ey? There was MIRC, ICQ, MSN (and there was various versions), SKYPE, Friendster and now Facebook. And guess what? I'm on most of them!! But facebook is apparently the "in" thing. I found many unexpected friends there.
Another 20 mins to go. Later I will be attending this seminar, talking about investing again! Pretty hardcore today but at least it is not about amway and all those pyramid stuff. I'm not against it but I know it is a selling game and I am just not into it. The seminar starts at 6pm. Damn I need to eat first before I faint. These few days my body is just acting really weird. I am getting heartburns and bad digestion after each meal. Sign... I'm not well. But at least I'm not having gastric flu (touchwood). I used to get it every 3 months!!!
I wish I brought my camera today. The weather is really good and I should be using my cam more often. Bah... maybe tomorrow
